Range West Briefings

The dates have now been announced for the 2012 Pembroke Range West Briefings. Full detail is available on the BMC website.

We were unfortunate not to get briefed for Range West last year but I've taken a different approach this year and managed to influence the dates! Saturday, 23rd June is the date I'm proposing that Mynydd members get down to Pembroke for a briefing - this, by special request, has been brought forward to coincide with a decent low tide. It is also 'free' in the Mynydd Meets calendar (albeit sandwiched in between two other weekend meets).

It isn't clear whether the military lets you onto the Range in June - the birds won't have flown by then but access to those cliffs with no nesting birds may be allowed.

But, of course, there's a full week in Pembroke scheduled in for September. For those that love Pembroke for its sense of adventure but find quality climbs in the easier grades are running a bit thin on the ground then the combination of these two dates (June and Sept) is a must!
