Welcome to the Mynydd Climbing Club

We are the High Peak's largest and most active climbing club. Most of our 200 members are based in the South Manchester, Stockport, Glossop, New Mills, Buxton and Macclesfield area.

We have a very active meets program. We usually have a weekend meet to a different part of the UK every fortnight throughout the year and every Tuesday evening we climb locally (outside on crags in Summer and inside in Winter). In August there is always a multi-week Alpine Meet.

Besides rock climbing, our members involve themselves in a variety of outdoor activies including winter mountaineering, alpine climbing, skiing, mountain walking, sport climbing, bouldering and mountain biking.

If you are interested in joining us, either turn up to one of our meets or drop in at The Royal Hotel in Hayfield on a Thursday night.
