Chamois hut meet- Llanberis- 10th and 11th March

The hut is actually called a Mountaineering Centre- so that should suit Cooch! It's situated in Ceunant, on the north west slopes of Snowdon GR532608 (near the Beacon climbing wall).

I don't need to tell you what an excellent venue this is - climbing in the Pass, and in the quarries, and excellent ridge walking and scrambling. As well as the obvious Snowdon massif, the Nantlle group and Cwm Silyn are within easy reach.

There may even be snow in the Trinity gullies- we're owed some good weather.

I've identified a good mountain bike ride locally- check out this link http://www.cyclingnorthwales.co.uk/pages/offrd_llanberis1.htm This is offered as an alternative when Snowdon is out of bounds for bikes so may be a bit gnarly!

There is ,always Tremadog for cragging if the weather is a bit iffy, and if all else fails, there is the climbing wall- but I'll be taking names!

As usual, you just need to take a sleeping bag and pillow case
