Management of the Sheffield City Council Moorlands including Burbage and Millstone Edges
I have received the following communication from David Brown (BMC Peak Area, Clubs’ Representative):
Dear BMC Peak Area Club,
You will no doubt be aware that a consortium of the National Trust and the RSPB, with support from the BMC, has now taken over the management of the Eastern Moors, including Froggatt, Curbar, Baslow and Birchens Edges. The land is still owned by the Peak District National Park but for the next 15 years, at least, it will be managed by the Eastern Moors Partnership, and the BMC will be actively helping with the crag management.
